I've just installed Windows ME on Parallels 9 for host OS X 10.10.5. But, and I've never encountered this issue before, there is NO option to install Parallels Tools showing - therefore leaving me with severely limited functionality. I'm at a loss. Suggestions?
Thanks. I have already tried all those scenarios. Scenario 1 does not show up as an option, scenario 2 didn't work. I'd have to try again to record the exact wording of the error, but I tried it multiple times (restarting etc., no difference). I think it was 'unable to connect to the image', whereas connection to other disc images did, in fact, work. Lastly I just tried scenario 3 but I got this error (see attached) so much help still appreciated! If I'm having this problem with ME, does anyone know whether 98SE would work any better? (It needs to be a fairly old OS.) ME is loading fine otherwise, though. *scratches head looking puzzled*
I'm out of ideas. My oldest Windows VM is Win 2000 install and that's not currently working with tools either - the tools installation errors out at 74% and attempts to rollback, fails and reboots thereby hosing the VM
This is what I did while in macos x show package contents of parallels and look for pctools window iso and mount it. Burn to cd then start paralles and access your vm allow the use of your internal or external cd (i had an external) I was able to install the tools. Took me awhile to figure that what the forum was directing me to look for.
