    Hi, there!

I just bought and installed Parallels Workstation 2.2 on my Ubuntu 6.10 installation. Everytime I start the OS I have to do a "parallels-config" otherwise PW won´t work. The second problem is that I can´t access to my real CD/DVD-ROM drive. I can only choose the option "Use image file". So what went wrong?

    Thanks for your help!

Don't know about the config thing, but with the cd drive, edit the .pvs file and make the cd device name the same as what Ubuntu is using.

    Try VirtualBox, or even VMware.

Hm, I don´t think that is the best solution.. because I bought PW already. On my Mac Parallels Desktop runs without any errors. I think Ubuntu is not the best distribution for PW. Maybe I try another one like SUSE...
