I've been running Lotus Organizer 6 in Windows XP Professional on Parallels Desktop 13.3.2 on my Macbook Air running High Sierra for several months and everything works fine, except sound. I generally don't need sound in this program but there is a feature where it would be useful. I've tried all the settings I've found & nothing works. in the parallels toolbox there notably is no icon for sound.
Hello WayneH1, Let us ensure that Parallels Tools are properly installed. Please follow this link to install Parallels Tools. If you see reinstall or update Parallels Tools then kindly reinstall it.
Hi WayneH1, We suggest you to post your reply directly on the thread instead of replying to a notification email. _____________________ Thanks for your suggestion, but I do not find an "Actions" (or "Virtual Machine") option in any Mac, Parallels Desktop or Windows menu anywhere, as suggested in the link you sent for reinstalling Parallels Toolbox. Parallels toolbox seems to work fine, but it just doesn't contain an "Audio" tool, although it does have an icon for "Download audio". Is this normal ? Should there be an Audio icon when the Toolbox id installed properly ? _____________________ You can find Actions on the Mac menubar when you have Windows XP selected. Parallels Tools and Parallels Toolbox are different. You need to install Parallels Tools in Windows XP.
Thank you so much for your help. I installed Parallels Tools and now the sound works, at least for Windows xp .wav sounds, which solves my problem. I had not realised that Parallels Tools and Parallels Toolbox are different utilities. I also found and implemented Smartguard optimised for Time Machine which is in service continually on my Mac.
