    Hi,

I have a Thunderbolt Display connected to my MacBook Pro (8,2 -- mid 2011) running Mountain Lion. I run the system with the lid closed and the Thunderbolt display as the only display.

When I have an Ubuntu guest running, the system won't wakeup after sleep. If I open the lid, the system wakes up, but the Thunderbolt display does not come to life. I have to do a disconnect/connect cycle of the Thunderbolt connector to get the display back. I can then close the lid and continue.

This problem does not happen with a VM running Windows 7 guest, so I am guessing the Parallels Tools for Linux have a problem.

I only recently got the Thunderbolt Display, and I don't *think* the problem ocurred under Lion, but I am not sure. So this *could* be a Mountain Lion only problem.

    Parallels version: 7.0.15104

Anyone else able to reproduce this?

    /Niels

    No Wake Thunderbolt display

I have a very Similar problem, but it is a little more spooky...

I have a Mac Mini that is running a Dual Thunderbolt display setup everything seems to work fine until the computer goes to sleep. If I have a Parallels machine up and running (running windows XP) the machine (mac) seems to take a long time to wake up, and then when it does, only the Primary Thunderbolt display is working.. (and all the windows have been moved over to it). If I unplug the second display and plug it back in, it comes back.

Is this a problem with Parallels ?

    Oh,

    Mountain Lion
    Parallels Built 7.0.15106
    Windows XP SP3
    Mac Mini Macmini5,2
    AMD Radeon HD 6630M

Any word on a work around, or if this might be fixed in the near future ?

Ok, so this is not a Linux guest only problem. So maybe this thread should be moved to the general Mac forum? How to do?

A new observation from me is that it appears to be an intermittent problem. Recently I have been able to sleep and wakeup in Thunderbolt only display mode and the Ubuntu VM running. I have not changed my Mountain Lion configuration in any significant way, and the Ubuntu guest has only been receiving the normal software center updates. I'll report back if/when it happens again.

I'm running into the same issue, it occurs most of the time when my Windows 7 VM is running. Very occasionally it'll resume alright, but those few times Parallels hasn't been running.

    Same Issue

I am having the same problem. Parallels 7 running Windows 7 on Mac Book Pro using thunderbolt-display. Everything works fine until the system sleeps. The laptop screen appears but I have to unplug and replug the display for it to recover. Any fix for this?
