Hi all,
I searched the forums a bit and didn't find any threads about this.
The issue I am having occurs when my MacBook goes to sleep while Parallels Desktop is running (with Windows XP Professional SP2 running as the VM). When I wake the MacBook up, shortly after the Superdrive makes the noise that it makes and right before the authentication screen is displayed, I hear a growing scratchy, static-like sound for about one or two seconds.
At first, I was scared that it was some sort of defective hardware. This is a brand new MacBook and my two weeks is approaching quickly; so, I looked into the issue and found that the sound was coming from the speakers of the MacBook. Upon further examination, I determined it only occurred with Parallels running.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there any explanation for this?
I just need a bit of confirmation to know there is nothing wrong with the MacBook hardware. If I knew that the sound was indeed coming from Parallels, then I could rest assured knowing I probably won't have to deal with any major hardware failures in the future.
Thanks.
