when attempting to reploy a Norton Ghost image from a freedos-booted cd environment (no, its not freedos triggering the bug), Parallels either crashes the Mac, causing an instant hard reboot, or, if you have parallels in an unfocused window state, you get the usual "report the bug to apple" crash handler. the bug is 100% reproducable, and isn't caused during the Ghost loading phase (where it detects usb hardware etc). using the command (for example) ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=image.gho,dst=1 -rb -batch -blind 2 seconds and Wham! reboot (note: -blind skips the ghost gui, so its not that either) has anyone had positive results deploying a ghost image within a Parallels VM? (using the exact same technique on Virtual PC (mac ppc) and VMWare (linux intel) is fine.) /me guesses this can be triggered from anything (or anyone - hello honeypot parallels 0day) within parallels on the mac intel.
