Nothing under Mac OS X

I recently switched on Mac and have still 3 applications which I use under Windows. I purchased VMware Fusion to use them under a virtual Windows XP. I then saw the possibility to try ApplicationServer, so I installed it under a new virtual Windows 2000 Server.
    Here is the installation :
    - virtual W2000Server on 1xx.xxx.xxx.9, aka w2000server
    - virtual XP on 1xx.xxx.xxx.7
    - OS X on 1xx.xxx.xxx.4

I published differents apps for my tests :
    - Solitaire
    - Mine
    - Lotus 123
    All have limited client restrictions

On virtual XP, everything works fine. Application Server is recognized as w2000server and accessed in direct mode through port 80
On OS X, Application Server is recognized only as 1xx.xxx.xxx.9 but not as w2000server. When recognized, I can see the list of published applications. When I double-click on one, I get a blank screen some times, or a standard Mac App icon opening, telling me that the app has opened. But nothing happens, and I can see no app opening.
    I wonder if I missed something ?
Also, I plan to use this through the Internet later. What ports will I have to open on my router to access the apps ?
In any case, for the moment, ApplicationServer is useless. Hope anybody will be able to help on this, so I can pursue my tests...

I believe that 256 colours (ie 8bit) is a limitation (on your ts) of rdp4 protocol, that is why you are getting 'blank' screen on your mac and is not supported

May be that, but I can't find a way to change color deepness on OS X client. It is possible on Windows Client but not on OS X client... Except if I missed something ?
Also, it seems that RDP protocol used is 5, not 4 (according to Terminal Server Services Management console tool)

I just discussed and did some tests with French distributor of 2X : the application indeed launches, but is invisible and unselectable. I determined this because the mouse cursor changes, depending on where it is on the screen. For example, with a published notepad : window resizing, text editing, menu opening, etc.
So there is indeed some problem somewhere. And it happens whichever version of Mac OS I use (X.4.11 as well as X.5.3, on a Powerbook G4 as well as on a MacBook Pro or an iMac 24")

If the server has a limitation, you can't change/adjust a client to display color which the server isn't capable of

To change color depht in 2003 and above you may go in (Terminal Services Configuration > RDP TCP Properties > Client Settings, 'Limit Maximum Color Depth'. 8/15/16/24bit are available

    Unfortunately, I own a Windows 2000 server. Not a 2003 server.
So does this means, if the origin of my problem is indeed there, that I will never be able to use 2x on my system ?

Problem half solved : I moved my server to Windows 2003 and everything is back to normal. So the problem comes from Windows 2000 and OS X. You guys from 2x should investigate that as there are still quite a few W2000 servers by the world...
