First of all, I want to say that I am totally amazed by the Parallels Destop 4.0 software I installed on my new 17" MacBook this past week. It installed and runs so well. Kudos to Parallels!

I have a little video problem, however, with an installation of Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6. Try as I may, I cannot get the video driver to install from the PrlTools/Drivers/Video/WinNT folder of the Parallels Desktop 4.0 disc. As a result, my NT window is restricted to 640 by 480 pixels of 16 colors.

My hope is that because the Parallels install disc has this NT video driver on it, there is a way to get it to install. No matter how I try, however, Windows just ignores it. I click to change the driver, click Have Disk, browse to the PrlTools/Drivers/Video/WinNT folder, select PrlVideo, click OK, OK, Yes, OK, Close, Close, and Yes to restart, but when NT restarts, it always has the default windows VGA driver installed. It simply refuses to install the PrlVideo driver from the Parallels install disc.

Has anyone gotten NT to go beyond this 16 color limit under Parallels Desktop 4.0?

I would be so grateful for any help! --Fred
