So far I have been using parallels 5 and it has been a great experience, but the only thing that is bothering me is this strange graphic problem I am having. When I run any program that is more demanding, not just games (however games tend to be the main problem), it runs extremely smooth. Impressively smooth. However every 2-3 seconds, it's as if parallels desktop 5 will "hiccup", and the graphics will freeze for half a second. It then quickly resumes as fast as it paused. I don't know what is causing this and after a few minutes it gets annoying quickly. It's frustrating because most games I run on parallels 5 run at around 60fps (they're older less demanding games but still), even a very simple game, like a web browser 3d game (unreal tournament browser edition for example) will still have this "every 2-3 second hiccup" problem. I tested it on the unreal tournament browser addition out of curiosity, to see if the games and programs I were running were simply too demanding, so parallels needed to perform the hiccup, but unreal tournament hiccuped too. I do not think unreal tournament browser addition is that demanding at all either. Besides this problem I hope someone can help me fix, I'm quite certain parallels 5 is still one of the better virtual machine softwares I have had the privilege of using.
