On the Mac side I have office 2008 installed and on the windows XP Sp3 side I have Office 2007 installed. I have the latest version of 4.x of parallels If i try to open a powerpoint, excel or word document by clicking on the file from within Parallels on the windows side the windows office application freezes and I have to use ctl, alt, del to kill the app. I can open the file just fine if I open the app first then through it open the file. Please any help would be appreciated on what I need to set to fix this. Any advice or fixes would be appreciated as I can't imagine that I am the only one with this problem. A web search on this topic yielded nothing so hopefully someone here can shed some light. Thanks in advance. David
Hello, Please try to uninstall and reinstall Office 2007. Also, disable Smart Select and Smart Mount (Virtual Machine -> Configure). If this does not help then please uninstall and reinstall Parallels Tools.
