Running Parallels Desktop 9 & Win 7 Pro on OS X Mavericks. I have a crypted USB drive - incl. bunch of .ppt -files - which only works in Windows. The problem is that Parallers attemps to open & view those presentations on my Mac's Office and not in Windows Powerpoint viewer as is should do in this case. So, is there a way to "block" Parallers opening presentations on Mac as a default? P.S. The USB drive contains some kind of security software and the files within are not browsable e.g. with Windows File Explorer. Therefore I can not look up the file(s) and select "open in Powerpoint viewer" which I just installed.
Hi Matijatic, Right Click on .ppt file -> Open With -> Choose default program -> Select the application which you want the file to be opened. (Make sure the option on the bottom left corner "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is Enabled.) Thanks, Abdul
