hi guys, i just got my windows 7 up and running in parallels 7. Everything works fine, except for one thing. At work i am often confronted with world files containing visio graphics or have to create them myself. So i need to be able to insert visio files into word documents, and when i double click these graphics i want visio to open, so i can edit them. when i work on a windows pc with office 2010 + visio 2010 everything works like a charm, but now i want office for mac or iWork to work with visio on my virtual windows 7. Is that even possible? Or do you have any alternatives for me? i tried omnigraffle, but i still can't import the graphics into word. i would be happy if someone could help me, florian
How are you able to properly install Visio 2010? I have some troubles http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=113934 For your problem: install under Parallels full Office 2010 for Win. Omni is good soft but it coudn't save shemes in visio format vsd, only open and edit. Insert to Word for Mac - only as a picture, not visio-object
maybe you should try parallels 7. i never tried visio on parallels 6. i already thought about installing office 2010 on my virtual windows, but actually i dont own a license, and i dont want my office for mac license to be use less.
You see... IMHO as I can see from this forum Parallels7 has much more troubles than 6, so at this time there is no some reasons for me to pay money for 7, and even try to upgrade for trial period. If I install visio 2010 on PC from the same distr it works properly without any problems. I think that my problem is in the sequence of my steps during installation. But I coudn't understand at which step
