I purchased an Apple M1 iMac (8GB RAM) and wanted to get an older Windows program - Lotus Approach database - running. When I install the program under Crossover, it opens fine, opens various database files but when switching the program screen layout to display a letter format (which it then completes the letter using information from the database), the program would either just quit or the screen would just flicker. (BTW - the program using Crossover and also using Windows 10 and Parallels 15 - ran perfectly on my older 2019 iMac with an Intel chip.) I installed Parallels 17 trial and Windows 10 ARM (from the Insider Program) without any issues. I installed the program from a CD-ROM, and the same issues as before. I have tried various emulation settings, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions or advice (aside from getting a Windows laptop LOL)? Thanks.
No one has any ideas/suggestions I can try? I am now running Windows 11 ARM (which is supposed to be better at emulating Intel apps on ARM processors) but still having the same issues with Approach.
