I've tried searching the forums, but I haven't had much luck.

I've installed parallels step by step, just like it says in the book and I do the quick set up of a vm. Parallels seems to run just fine, but when I try to turn on/run the vm a grey veil falls over my screen and a warning message pops up telling me to restart my computer. It looks just like this

I've tried uninstalling everything, and deleting and re-creating the vm, but nothing has had an effect.

    Mac OS 10.5.8
Parallels Build 1848.2 (though I'm not sure which version, it's from 2006 at least)

    any ideas?
