openSUSE 11.3: no sound

    Hi,

    After some problems with Parallels 4.0 running on iMac Snow Leo, I decided to upgrade to 6.0
    Now, I have the problem that openSUSE 11.3 remains silent, althoguh speakers are active.

    Trying different combinations on my iMac, I ran into a 'confusion matrix':

    Prl 4.0 / openSUSE 10.3: sound ok
    Prl 4.0 / openSUSE 11.3: sound ok
    Prl 6.0 / openSUSE 10.3: sound ok
    Prl 6.0 / openSUSE 11.3: sound not ok

    I would appreciate to get any ideas how to solve the problem. Thanks in advance!

    PROBLEM SOLVED!
    By using KDE instead GNOME desktop, sound works !!
