I have my Mac Program (Ableton Live for example) running my audio on the Mac side, and on the Parallels Windows side, I have Sound Forge Audio editor (always wanted SF for the Mac! as OSX editors aren't as good for me) Now I have set up Parallels and thought that Mac/Windows would not let me select and use a Windows application from "inside" Mac, but in the "choose editor" on Ableton (Mac) I chose : Users/myname/documents/Parallels Applications/Sony Sound Forge.app So that when I send ( in this case pressing the edit button) it should send the audio file from the Mac across to Parallels/Windows in SoundForge. I did this and it WORKS!! So now I can play my file in Soundforge (whilst it sits in Ableton Mac at the same time) and do edits. My only problem is this - Even though it seems Parallels lets me play and access the same file from both OS's and even sends across.... - when I press "save" in Soundforge to flatten, overwrite and save my new edits, it doesn't update back over in my Mac side? This obviously works for sending the file across, but I suppose what I wanted to know is if I could get the "saving" procedure to update the wave file so that it updates and reads the new file instantly when i click back over to Mac? It just seems that I've come so far and maybe there is a file / smartselect setting or even a setting in Virtual Machine > Options >Shared Applications? I think that its 90% there but just not the last part!
