Hey Guys, I'm trying out Parallels 12 on my new Macbook Pro. 8GB ram, i5 processor. I boot into Windows 10 home 64bit version. I was able to download battlenet and install overwatch (I bought it on my PC). I start the game and it loads up fine. From the main menu screen, no matter what button I push (play, training, options, exit game) the screen turns black. I have the Overwatch cursor still, I end up having to hit escape in order to get the main menu screen to pop back up. If anybody can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I've also searched overwatch on this forum, and online and tried a few things (change display to 100% vs 125) Thanks Jason
Hi JasonF5 Try these settings and check, 1. Open virtual machine configuration > Hardware > CPU and Memory, make sure 2 processors is allocated. 2. Open virtual machine configuration > Hardware > Graphics then increase graphics memory more than 512 MB and also enable Vertical Synchronization under Advanced settings.
Hello I have these already done but it still does not work! Please I mean please! figure out a way to solve the problem. I have the same problem as this guy.
Hi @PeleB regarding the black screen while playing Overwatch game, we have escalated the issue you reported to the Engineering Team and they are working to address it in one of the future builds of Parallels Desktop for Mac. While we do not have ETA for the fix, it has been prioritized appropriately.
Future builds of Parallels? Does that mean ill have to buy another Parallels? Or can I get a free update. Because I got a one of a time buy and did not buy the free upgrades. I bought Parallels because of Overwatch and Parallels testing it already saying that Parallels 12 works for Overwatch. Would it be false advertising then? Or could I get a free update? Also it happens on Osx Yosemite and I downloaded Parallels 12 and Overwatch on a Laptop.
Dear PeleB, our engineering Team are currently working to address it in one of the future builds of Parallels Desktop for Mac. While we do not have ETA for the fix, it has been prioritized appropriately. Please check out this article to get update summary of Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac.
