    Hi there,
i am still using my 2010 MBP with 16GB mem, 1TB SSD, El Capitan. I use Parallels 10.4.0 with a W7, W8.1 and W10 VM. All my VMs are set to use 8GB mem, 2 processors and 1GB vmem.
One of my problems is start times of any of those VMs. I wanted to test hibernation but when trying to use powercfg /h on i get a message "The system firmware does not support hibernation". This can't be true for W8.1 nor W10 as both Windows version do support hibernation. So, does it mean P10 does not allow hibernation to be used?
When searching the internet i found a few hits indicating that P10 does allow it, so i am wondering why i can't set it up on my system.
I tried to set hibernation and fast startup in regedit, but when doing a power cfg -a i still get the above message. My regedit entries seems to get ignored.
I tried the P12 trial version where i can switch on hibernation, thus, it seems that P10 is limiting this Windows capability.
Does anybody have more information about this and might be able to provide some tips if and how i can do this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Gerd
