Hi I am helping a friend try to get his palm to work with Lotus Notes. I would love to do this natively in OS X but there just isn't any software available to do this. OK we though, just use Parallels ;o) We have the following installed: Parallels 3150 RC 2 Windows XP SP2 Lotus Notes 7.0.2 PylonPro Palm Software USB Driver from Sony Everything is up and running. When I start the Hotsync application on the Palm I get the sound saying that Windows has found the USB-Device => the problem is that the application (Hotsync) never starts syncing the data. When I check the devices I see the Palm in there! I have tried everything that is mentioned in this forum -> when checking the USB-icon on the bottom left I see Palm Hand held checked. I have tried to connect the Palm when then menu is open, Auto connect has been on and off, reinstalled everything, tried the Palm on my laptop (Native Win XP) and it works perfectly! On the Palm I see "Connecting with the desktop using Cradle / Cable" - normally the HotSync application on the PC then opens a window and starts syncing - not so here. So I am currently at wits end - Palm works perfectly (syncs on a XP Laptop), I get the "blip" when Hotsync is started on the Palm telling me that XP in Parallels thinks it has a new USB device, I get Sony Hand held when I check the devices in the device manager, I can remove the device and XP notices and reinstalls the usb-drivers once the Palm is connected. Sorry for the long post but I was hoping that the more info I gave the easier it would be to help ;o) Thanking you for any help given Ursus Schneider
using the search tool at the top of the forum would have found you this :- http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=7996&highlight=palm might work for you.
Hi thank you for the quick response - I have already tried that and it didn't help - unfortunatly ( I have read each and every post that has Palm or Clie in it - none of it helped ( I even moved the entire VM onto a new MacBook that did not have parallels on it yet and did a clean install! Ursus
