Installed Mares DRAK dive computer USB interface software for WIndows. Interface uses a CP2102 USB to UART Bridge to communicate with the dive computer. The driver is provided by Silicon Laboratories Version 4.40. The software and driver install correctly. When the interface is connected to the USB cable Windows does the found new hardware process and states new hardware successfully installed. The status light on the interface is activated. When attempting to download data from the dive computer to the Windows software receive the following message "It seems you DRAK interface is not plugged in or not yet configured....." After weeks of working with support the response is: "The case was forwarded to the proper department. However, there is no available solution or workaround right now as the issue requires some time for investigation and fixing. Furthermore, the case is followed up and tracked in our internal request system by our product maintenance team and support is not dealing with it anymore. All the information that was requested from support and from you was forwarded for closer look and deeper investigation to developers. Now there is no need to keep you request open and we have to close it." To date they have refused to acknowledge my request that they at least post a knowledgebase item stating that this USB to UART bridge interfaces are NOT supported.
