On Jun 8, 2021 I bought Parallels Pro from Mac Heist and I logged into my account and got a license and I copied that license to my Parallels Install... Fast forward to this week, when I am actually going to use Parallels. I notice that on the VM there is a Buy button, which I think it's strange because I already bought the license and I thought it was applied to my Mac. Apparently the license I bought it was never applied to my account and now it says my key is expired and I can't get Parallels to work. I contacted Mac Heist first, but they said this was a Parallels problem. I tried to get Parallels support, but they apparently can't handle an support email queue so they bounced me to the Forums, which pretty much makes me feel like I got scammed by someone and I am not getting this resolved... I imagine if my account is expired on all fronts, Parallels won't support me?
After some critical thinking and reviewing somethings, I discovered that I basically got scammed by Mac Heist and somewhat by Parallels because of the poor way this product was advertised. Had this product had the proper documentation provided more visibly the story would be different. The lesson here is never ever again, buying these bundles through Mac Heist... Given I have been a long time Customer of Parallels in the past, I am hoping they can help me out this time around or at least allow me to use my key under a new account so I can at least use the product this year and continue to use it under the subscription. Just super frustrating and angry at this whole situation.
