I recently updated to Parallels 10 and Yosemite 10.10 from Parallels 8 and ML 10.8. I run two Windows VM's for various tasks that I perform and they are running all the time. I have my Mac set up on a schedule to shut down and wake up at specific times. Up until I did the update to Parallels, I did not have a problem with this. Parallels would suspend the Windows OS's and everything would be fine. Now Parallels seems to hang up the OS X shutdown process more often than not. I usually will not notice this until I am away and need to access the Windows VM via RDP from another computer and I can't because Parallels has already started a suspend, but never finishes. Unfortunately, I cannot even access the Mac OS at all either to reboot as the Mac processes have already begun a shutdown. The message displayed on the Mac is "Parallels has prevented this computer from shutting down." This then requires me to be physically at the box for a hard shutdown and reboot as not even a process kill works as the Mac OS has already partially shut down. Any ideas?
