Parallels 10 will not install on 10.8.5

Just an update on the problems I am having installing Parallels 10 on my Mac using OSX 10.8.5

This is after 3 days of me trying to get it to work, 1 telephone conversation and 3 email replies from the official parallels support person (who seems to have less idea than I do and takes several hours to reply).

The person I am dealing with seemed to think that sending her a screenshot of my screen would help, even though I had explained on several occasions that the installer freezes after about 2 seconds and it would be about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I had already sent here the Parallels log file but apparently this was dismissed.

The lady I am dealing with is supposedly Level 1, which in laymans terms means she has very little idea about the computer software and can only solve problems like uninstalling, restarting the computer and repairing disk permissions. However in order to get my problem moved onto Level 2 I needed to send the screen shots. I am still waiting to see if my problem will be upgraded to level 2 and keep you all informed about the amazing level of service provided cough, cough!
