I'm running Parallels 11 on Mac OS X 10.11.1. None of my many Windows VMs can connect to the Internet. I've tried Windows XP, 7, 8.1, and 10, and all of them say they can't connect to the Internet. I've tried Explorer, Edge, and Safari, all with no luck. I don't try this often, so I'm not certain when it stopped working. Besides browsers, Windows also seems unable to install updates. I also have an Ubuntu VM; I can browse the Internet with Firefox, but recently I get an error message overtime the Ubuntu Software Center tries to install updates. All these VMs used to work flawlessly. What happened, and more importantly how can I fix it?

Nice try, but I got stumped along the way. When I tried to implement step 2.1 in http://kb.parallels.com/8978, Parallels Desktop simply reported that my configuration file for the first VM I tried to fix (a Windows 7 VM) is invalid. I looked at the configuration file in a text editor, and it appears to be a fairly normal XML file. In any case, I am unable to open it in Parallels Desktop. The VM itself works OK except that it won't connect to the Internet. So my original issue still exists, plus now I need to find a way to rebuild my configuration file. Where can I go from here?
