I have installed Parallels 17 and it has crashed multiple times. In an effort to locate the issue I have been running resource monitor which shows parallels slowly consuming available memory. In the past 8 hours memory usage has gone from 6 GB to 10.6GB. I noticed on the latest crash that the Windows memory usage was 16GB the maximum I have allocated for Windows. At that point the only resolution was to abort parallels. The symptoms are with two monitors totally black screens with no option to close everything except to stop and abort.The parallels desktop controls permitted me to open the resource monitor and abort. While it is possible that Windows or a windows app is consuming memory, it is more likely parallels is leaking memory as this problem has occurred since the installation of 17. Be wary of the issue.
