I can't get web pages to load in any Windows browser under Windows XP SP3 in Parallels. I've tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome (all latest versions) and none of them will load a page. I have a network connection, by way of my MacBook Pro's Airport connection; which loads pages fine in all of its browsers. I can ping other servers and can use Remote Desktop Connection to access a Windows 2003 server in another time-zone. No web pages load, though. I've never had to tweak the network settings for Parallels. I have able to load pages in the past. I believe it may be related to the most recent update, which took me to Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac, build 5636 (March 23, 2009). What can I change or tweak? Should I adjust any of the NAT settings? Change the networking mode? The current settings have worked on a couple of different Wi-Fi networks previously. The only variable I can account for is the update. My host machine is a MacBook Pro, 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, OS 10.5.6. Guest OS is Windows XP SP 3. FYI to the folks at Parallels: none of this is inspiring me to purchase version 4. These updates always seem to cause some kind of problem.
