I upgraded Parallels 5 to the most recent version to see if it fixed any of the issues I was having with the initial release, and sadly realized after much troubleshooting that it was responsible for killing my MBP's internal keyboard, and on two other occasions all USB connectivity.

I'd see the internal keyboard issue even on the Mac OS X log in most of the keyboard's keys don't work. Interestingly, external USB keyboards still work fine, though two times all USB connectivity also died.

I tried resetting the PRAM but that did nothing. As soon as I uninstalled Parallels (or started up with extensions off) the problem went away.

This was on Mac OS X 10.6.2, Parallels 5.0.3908.

    Anyone else seen this?
