    I have to install Vista then the Windows 7 Upgrade. Installs Vista without issue, until it runs the Vista window. Everything is all red and the screen is somewhat corrupt. I restored using time machine and tried again a bunch of times, without luck. I had originally installed Windows 7, which installed fine, but would not activate as it was an upgrade, so I restored back to the beginning with my time machine backup and installed Vista, which installed correctly, but again I made a mistake, as the version of Vista I installed had no upgrade path to the Windows 7. Again I restored back to the beginning, and installed the right version of Vista, and this time, and since, I only get a red corrupt screen. I thought this might be a MacAir display issue, since it came on only after successful installs, but the Mac works perfectly in every way I can think of trying, so I assume the issue is a Parallels/Lion issue, due to the comments I have read. Nobody else seems to have reported my issue. I have updated Parallels to the latest when it was installed 2 days ago. Any ideas of what I might do?

    In parallels you may want to go to virtual machine, configure, hardware and in the boot flags dialog box enter the following without quotes:

    "video.dx_profile=6"

    This worked for my Vista Home Premium 64bit using the latest version of parallels and Lion.

    I read this in another thread and I can't remember who posted it.

    I don't think this is a proper fix, but at least it will be usable.

    StanE's fix has worked a treat so far. Vista back to normal in Parallels/Lion. No more red screen corruption.
    Well done StanE
