So, I updated to Parallels 6 on my Mac (10.6.7 BTW) and intalled Ubuntu 10.10 as a guest.
I installed parallel tools and rebooted the system.

After i log in, I cannot see anything on the screen. Dragging around my window, I see nothing, but eventually I see parts of the ubuntu desktop, but it disappears after i let go of the window...Sometimes, when I am able to see the desktop, its upside down!!!!!!

    Any ideas?

    Also seeing same weirdness

I have a Ubuntu 10.04 that is suddenly doing the same. I can remote in via ssh and use it as a server, but the screen is not operative. I can wiggle the size around and see the screen flash right side up, upside down and backwards (totally inverted). I have Fedora, Ubuntu 10.10 VMs on same work station and they are fine.
Thought it might be the user's profile or desktop, but created a new user and get the same result logging in.
Think I'l just back up this machine's data and toast the VM. Something somewhere must have been corrupted.
