    Hi,

Yesterday I upgraded to Parallels version 6.0.11822 rev604190, I am running windows XP SP3 as the virtual machine. My computer is a Macbook Pro (April 2008). In window view it is not possible to use the mouse (trackpad or external) or keyboard (built in or USB). I can change the view to coherence to use the mouse, but the built in or external USB keyboard will still not work.

I just installed a new virtual machine of windows XP SP3 and I still have the same problem.

I was wondering if anyone is having the same problem or a solution?

    Many Thanks
    Tom

  2. 1. Do you have a tools installed inside VM?
    2. Do you have USB controller in VM configuration?

Could you please make a problem report and post its number here before applying further steps.

Mouse and keyboard emulation could be forced to PD5 mode using the following Boot Flags (Virtual Machine -> Configure -> Boot Order -> Boot flags):
    Code:
    devices.usb.enable_mouse=0;devices.usb.enable_keyboard=0

    Hi,

Thank you for your quick response.

    My support number is 13379-99845

    1. I have Parallels tools installed inside the virtual machine
    2. I don't think I have a USB controller in the virtual machine

I have entered the code as described, but this has not made a difference to the problem.

    Thanks
    Tom

    Panic Mode !!!

    Hi,

    I'm having the same problem.

I have a Mac Mini that has OS X Lion running on it. I've found a temporary work around to running Parallels 6 on Lion (since I'm not yet ready to upgrade to Parallels 7). However I'm having the following problems :

    1. The mouse is not working -- When i click on any Windows folder/file/app the mouse simply disappears. Only the keyboard is working. The mouse control can only come back when i click Ctrl+Alt. At this point the Mac pointer comes back.

    2. Coherence isn't working either. I get the error : "Parallels Mouse Synchronization Service is not started. Reinstall Parallels Tools and try again"
However, I've reinstalled the Tools thrice to no effect.

    3. I keep getting an error : "Network Adaptor 0 cannot be found"

I'm currently running Parallels 6.0.11828. It was running fine for the last month since I've upgraded to Lion. These problems have suddenly started almost all at once. Is there any solution ???

  5. Please update your PD6 installation. The build you are using is quite ancient.

I'm a registered PD 6 owner and I am having a similar problem.

I am using OSX Lion 10.7 and the latest update of PD 6.

When I shutdown or Suspend PD -- my trackpad on my late 2009 MacBook still works, however I have no keyboard functionality in the Mac OS.

I have to shutdown or restart my Mac to regain keyboard use in the Mac OS -- very troubling.

This has been happening for the past 3 days. I downloaded the latest Parallels update over a week ago.
