When using Parallels 7 Mounter to mount a virtual disk that has encryption turned on, I get the error message:

"Unable to open the virtual hard disk.

The disk seems to be protected by password."

When can I provide the Mounter with the encryption password?

I sometimes rebuild encrypted VMs, and archive the original. I need the original to remain encrypted because they may contain sensitive content. Occasionally I need to access the contents of the disk, and using Mounter is my natural inclination, however it doesn't work because of this issue. I hate to be that guy, but I can't see why it doesn't just ask me to enter the password, like Desktop does, and let me get in there.

My workaround is that I have to decrypt the original machine, create an encrypted image, and stuff it inside that. Fine, but I mean, why the hoops?
