2011 MacBook Pro 8GB RAM. I was running Parallels 6 and a Windows 7 Virtual machine using the Boot Camp partition and life was good. I was able to play a relatively new game (beta, unfortunately, can't say which one - which means you might be able to guess which one) extremely well on that windows 7 VM. The game was smooth and the rest of the system hardly noticed. I upgraded to Parallels 7 yesterday and not only did the performance of the game go to garbage, but when it was running the entire Mac system got sluggish. I rebooted into Boot Camp and everything was fine there. I've ended up downgrading back to Parallels 6 and everything is fine again. For all the increased performance and higher video memory advertised in PD7, I'll have to wait until they actually deliver on that marketing!
