Okay been working on this for 3 straight days and its been a nightmare. I installed Parallels 8, and pointed it to use my Boot camp W7 partition that was already established. This way it would only need ONE installation of W7 (i.e. Only 1 CD-Key), and it should not be a problem as what I read online. WRONG! Right away there were validation warnings. I re-entered my CD KEY for Windows 7 to shut it up. Once I entered the Key it said my W7 is counterfeited and I need a Genuine copy of Windows! I've called Windows NUMEROUS times and they said I need two licenses, plus they can't even fix my boot camp activation cause it did something funky where they don't have access to a phone activation option through my W7 installation wizard. Then with all that mess, my W7 bootcamp now freezes in both Boot Camp and Parallels, rendering it useless now! I had to run in Safe Mode to salvage all my files off before it goes totally corrupted! So I have $300 dollar W7 Ultimate CD coaster now! Plus prior to this the same issue happened to my CAD software! In Parallels it wanted another license and that license is already in use when I re-entered it, corrupting that license as well!!! Really frustrated right now cause I need to get work done, I have tons of dead lines to meet and now EVERYTHING IS CORRUPTED... I need to re-install Windows 7, call up MicroSoft and the CAD software company and pray that they can reactivate that CD Key as well. I hope they can reactivate these KEYs. This time I'll just keep it in boot camp as I do not feel confident it running it through Parallels anymore. I just cant spend another $300 on a copy of W7 Ultimate.
