Hi. I've tried searching the forums & google & I can't seem to turn up a solution to my problem. I'm running Parallels 9.0.24251 which Parallels tells me is up-to-date. I've successfully installed Ubuntu 14.04 which the software updater is telling me is also up-to-date. I can successfully mount the Parallels Tools disc, so that isn't the problem. When I run either ./install or the gui installer, installation fails during the installation of the kernel modules. I've seen a post that mentioned copying the tools directory & patching it, but that failed (the post was dated 2013, so I wouldn't be surprised that the patch is out of date). Others claim that a later build of Parallels solved the issue (9.0.229 at the time, I think), but if so, it has since regressed. Has anyone successfully installed a clean build of Ubuntu 14.04 on Parallels 9 & then successfully installed Parallels Tools. Can you tell me how? Thanks!
