I made a major mistake by installing MAVERICKS on my computer. I had it removed at the Apple store, they reformatted my hardrive and assumed that Timemachine had backed up my computer. My windows/bootcamp was not backed up by time machine but I had a copy of the only file I use in Windows, which is Quicken.

When I reinstalled from timemachine it saw the parallels/bootcamp section but could not access it. With the help of a Parallels tech I was able to install windows and use Parallels although it did not seem to use a partition, but it worked great and was very fast. This crashed after about 24 hours when I tried to put a Parallels Icon in the dock. The same tech reinstalled Parallels and windows but it runs much slower and takes a long time to back up.

This would be acceptable except that when I am working in Windows the computer will not see my disk drive and does not give an error message. It works fine in Mac mode. I have seen in other threads that Parallels can cause the diskdrive to be non responsive. Anybody have any suggestions.
