I just upgraded to PD9 today. The installation itself was painless but upon launching my Win 7 (bootcamp) VM I was greeted with this error: An error occurred while accessing the HArd Disk 0 used by "My Boot Camp". Error ID: PRL_ERR_DISK_WRITE_FAILED (80021027), errno=14 (Bad Address) I rebooted into bootcamp and everything worked fine. Ran Chkdsk with no problems at all. Booted back into OSX and tried again. same error. After googling for that specific error and coming up blank, I decided to downgrade to PD8 so I could actually get some work done. Installed PD8, ran the VM and had zero problems. No PRL_ERR_DISK_WRITE_FAILED error. Everything worked. I hope I haven't just wasted $50. Setup: Macbook Pro 15" Retina running OSX 10.8.4 Boot Camp running Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit
Found the answer at http://forum.parallels.com/pda/index.php/t-110913.html Adding "devices.hdd.error = 1" to the boot flags field in "Configure->Hardware->Select Boot Order" did the trick.
