Since I thought about upgrading my rMBP from Mountain Lion to Yosemite I decided to update my Parallels version from 8 to 9. I downloaded and installed the 9 trial, just to be sure I would not have any issues, and now, after deciding to buy, I suddenly find there is a Parallels 10. Parallels issued a warning that users would have to have version 9 to run Windows 8 if they upgraded to Yosemite and perhaps I am fine at 9, but what are the differences between 9 and 10? I did not see any comparison chart on the Parallels web site.

I know that if I buy 9 now I get a free update to 10 but, since I could just as easily upgrade directly to 10, I don't see that as any big advantage for me now (I am glad I did not do this 3 weeks ago). Is 9 really Yosemite compatible? Or is it "almost" Yosemite compatible meaning I should just upgrade to 10? Is there any real reason to use 10 instead of 9 or are people upgrading to 10 just to keep current?

    Thanks.
