Hello! I'm having a frustrating issue with printing from my Windows 7 Guest OS. When running single print job, the printer works normally. However, when batching a bunch of jobs together (Which our accounting software does), only a few of them print. The printer is installed on the Mac side, and shared with the Guest OS. The printer works correctly for individual jobs on both the Mac, and Guest OS. When I pause the Print Queue in The Guest OS, and run the job, all 21 print jobs show up in the queue. So I know that the accounting program is not malfunctioning. When I release the Pause in the Guest OS, the jobs clear from the queue, as if they had printed successfully. However, only 5 or so of the 21 jobs actually print. This is incredibly frustrating! We have a work around where we do a print preview for the documents, but then we have to individually print each of the 21, or more, slips. Has anybody else encountered this issue? I noticed I can no longer scan, which makes sense since Parallels doesn't share the scanner. Does it make sense to remove the printer from the Host OS, and install it only on the Guest OS? That way I should have access to the scanner again. Are they any known issues with installing the device inside the Guest OS instead of Sharing? Its a Network and USB printer, so I may have the option of Installing it as a Network printer on the Host OS, and Through USB on the Guest OS. Thanks for any help or experience in advance.
If it's USB, I'd just attach it to the Guest OS and install the drivers for it there. That's probably the easiest solution. When you need it for a Mac job, just select it again from Devices. You don't even have to unplug the USB. Steve
