Parallels activation problem

I replaced my MacBook Pro hard drive running OS X 10.10.5 and used my time machine backup to populate the new hard drive. When trying to run Parallels 9, it asks for an activation code but gives me an error that my product activation key reached its activation limit and cannot be used to activate Parallels Desktop. I am not trying to use one copy of the program on multiple computers. I am trying to restore the existing program on a new hard drive on the same computer.
