    Hi

I currently have VMWare Fusion which runs the Windows XP SP3 I have installed in the Boot Camp partition. It works well but I have discovered that Second Life will not run in VMWare Fusion. I guess it is to do with Fusion not supporting Open GL, but I have very little knowledge of 3D applications.

I see from these forums that Second Life will run in Win XP running in Parallels and so I wish to try this.

    Now getting to question:

If I download the Parallels trial can I install it and set it up to use the Boot Camp Win XP SP3 I have without disturbing VMWare Fusion in some way?

Obviously I don't wish to run Fusion and Parallels at the same time, I just want to be able to try out Parallels without it causind my Fusion installation a problem.

Thank you for any assistance you can give.

Usually you can use as Parallels uses different technique for Boot Camp VM,
But we didn't test it to give you 100% guarantee, maybe you can ask in VmWare Fusion forum, I believe too many users out there, are trying Parallels Desktop

    Thank you

Thank you John. I'll back up my Boot Camp partition first and try out Parallels :)

I know that you cannot give 100% guarantee, but I think that is okay for me. After all I will have Boot Camp partition well backed up.
