Anyone tried running Parallels over a gigabit connection to a NAS server?

I'm thinking of getting a big chuk of storage, as these VMs are filling up the smill HD space on my Macbook...

Does it run so slowly that it isn't worth it, or is it alright?

What i do might be close.

I run VM on my mini-stack over fire wire and and the only appreciable diff i can see is the mini-stack powers down the drive and so i get a 1-2 second startup lag. but after that I can't see much difference.

    I have to scenerios,
    1) I have main XP 16gig on main HDD and then i added a 40gig which is on the mini stack.
    2) I setup Fedora Core totally on the Ministack

These work just fine over the firewire ;-)
