I've had this problem on my Macbook Pro (2011) for some time now and am in need of help. Whenever I have Parallels running, USB audio devices are not detected in Snow Leopard audio devices. This has been a problem both on Parallels 7/Win XP and still since upgrading to Parallels 8/Win 7. Seems to affect any USB audio device, so far this includes: - M-Audio Torq Xponent - Traktor Audio A6 - Pioneer DJM850 mixer Workaround: If I reboot the macbook and connect the device (without starting parallels) then it will register and work as normal. Anyone have any ideas?
I think I've solved this following steps this article: http://stufftohelpyouout.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/how-to-fix-audio-issues-after-os-x-106.html There seemed to be a problem with entries in the system sound config file. Not the sort of issue I would expect from the worlds most advanced operating system. I can now select USB sound devices when Parallels is running.
