When installing parallels on a Leopard OS for the first time (I had it on Tiger before) I keep getting an error saying:
"New network interfaces have been detected.
The following network interfaces have not been set up.
    Ethernet Adaptor (en2)
    Ethernet Adaptor (en3)
To set these interfaces, open Network Preferences."

I'm not sure if this is the reason I can't launch Parallels after installation (it crashes before it opens), but I can't understand why I get this error as I'm using wifi.

    Thanks much for any help.

Has anyone resolved this? I'm getting it too running the 4124 installer (that's in the file name). I was able to load parallels once on my machine in Leopard 10.5.2 (and I have a vista-32 bit partition) , but it crashed shortly after that. Now, re-installing results in the same situation where I get a network error and/or everything hangs to the point where I have to manually power down the machine.

    Any ideas?

    Potential help

I just ran into a similar set of symptoms using build 4128 from the CD.
I choose to exit or cancel. the new network error box.

The VM started just fine after cancelling the new network box.

    Good luck!

    ...

Thanks, but that doesn't work for my case. I can cancel the network problem, but Parallels still locks down my entire computer prompting a restart. I haven't even loaded any virtual machines...

    Bummer - uninstall?

Bummer - I at least have been able to get some VM's running. There are a couple of web sites that talk about cleaning out the /Library/Parallels folder. Have you seen them?

Are you installing from a CD?

I had a problem where the install would crash as I had a "Parallels Desktop" icon on my desktop from the CD.

Thanks again, I'll look at folder clearing. It just loaded now, after crashing, so I'll see what happens. I copied the error report, the main line being:

    Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
    Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000000000000b
    Crashed Thread: 0

    Mean anything?
