Help PLEASE! I wonder if anyone who has set up M/S Money successfully under Parallels Desk Top can give me some assistance? I have successfully installed PDT 10 on my (new) MacBook Pro (8gb memory 256Gb 'disk'), loaded Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit, and installed Microsoft Money 2005. In the virtual machine I created a folder: C:\users\ianlee\money On the 'old' PC I copied the most recent backup file to my Dropbox account and on the new virtual machine copied the backup file to the newly created MONEY folder - C:\users\ianlee\money\moneyxp.mbf I ran Money and attempted to restore the backup file by letting Money find the restore file on the disk. (C:\users\ianlee\money\moneyxp.mbf) Money then offered to restore the database using the name of the main money file which was used on the 'old' computer (C:\users\Ian SL410\microsoftmoney\moneyxp.mny). I overwrote this with the folder\file location to: C:\users\ianlee\money\moneymacbook.mny Money requested a sign in - used my MS Passport password which was accepted. After a few seconds, Money displayed the following error message: "Money could not locate 'C:\users\ianlee\money\moneymacbook' or cannot open it, possibly because it is a read only file or you do not have permission to change it, or the disk is write protected." - the file has not been created - confirmed by Windows Explorer! I do hope the above is understandable. If not, please forgive me. This is the first time I have used a Mac and never used Parallels! Any help will be most gratefully received. Thanks Ian.
