Hi, I am about to buy Parallels desktop 11 for Mac. I want to use the software in 2 different mac. Can i use the same license or i have to buy 2 licenses? Thank you for your answer. Kind regards, George
Hi Parallels End User License Agreement permits one copy of the software to be activated by a single license key on a single computer. If you have multiple license keys for the software, you may activate that number of copies of the software on the same corresponding number of computers as you have license keys. The Parallels End User License Agreement is available at: http://www.parallels.com/about/legal/eula/ In this case if you would like to use Parallels Desktop license on 2 or more Mac you need to choose the number of licenses.
Hi I have a similar question. I own 3 licenses for Parallels 10 which I want to upgrade to Parallels 11. Is there a discount for multiple purchases? thanks mike
I have a licensed version of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac and I just downloaded and installed the latest version (10.3.0 (29227)) as recommended in an email that I received from Parallels, Inc.... When I click on "Upgrade" to Version 11, I am given the choice of Version 11 Desktop for a one time fee of $49.00 or Version 11 Desktop Pro for a yearly fee of $49.99, that's not including an additional discount but anyway... My question is; Can I select the Desktop Pro version at the price shown or do I first need to purchase Desktop Pro... The Website does not offer a very good explanation on this... All the best
do you still do the family pack where you could buy more than one licence for more than one pc (so it worked out cheaper?)
I have a slightly different question re multiple usage. I use one computer (an iMac) 99% of the time. I have a backup Macbook Pro that is there for emergencies (eg HDD failure) or if I have to travel ( a few days a year). Are you really insisting that if I wish to upgrade to Parallels 11, I need to buy two separate licences and that if I don't I will not be able to use my Windows VM eg in the event of a HDD crash. Frankly, I think that is pure money grabbing if that is the case since any sensible small business must have a backup plan in the event of HDD failure. To draw this out further, if my HDD crashes are you saying if I only have one license I can't use my Windows VM again until the iMac is repaired, which could take days or weeks due to the complexity in repairing an iMac these days. I would like some real clarity on this please. I do not see any financial detriment to Parallels provided there is no concurrent usage and there is only one person using the one licence.
