Like ParallelsU1345 and KellyW5, I am having an issue since updating to Parallels 20 re opening files in Mac apps from Windows.

I've set Preview (MacOS) as the default PDF viewer, which does work for opening PDF files from File Explorer. However, PDF attachments in Microsoft Outlook (Windows) no longer open at all, and show a blank icon rather than the Preview icon. Similarly, attachments will not open when Adobe Reader (MacOS) is the default PDF reader. They will open if Adobe Reader (Windows) is the default.

Is there a way to fix this so I can open Outlook PDF attachments in MacOS apps again?

Great news! But is it live on servers? Run checking update. No v20 yet. And checked my account. Only dmg files for v19.

Great! Is version 20 still compatible with Monterey on an intel Mac?

When I try to download the update I keep getting Version 18 no matter what download link I use. There seems to be something broken

The download provided is still Parallels Desktop 19.

Never mind, I guess that it took a few minutes for the link to be updated.

Speed with version 20 is about the same as in 19 at this moment on M1 and M2. Crashes on Monterey on my Mac Pro 5,1 when running Passmark Performance test. Returned to version 19 for this Mac.

Essentially, this is version 12 for the device driver interface (DDI) with graphics' feature level 11_1. Alas, most games won't benefit from this graphics level, but I am happy to get your feedback if you notice any changes or improvements in the Windows 11 VMs.
All in all, the progress continues but there is still a lot of work to do to reach feature level 12_0 (true DirectX 12).

Hmm... Having a lot of issues running my VMs:

My linux VMs work, Window 10 32Bit and Windows 11 work, Windows 10 64Bit doesn't come up, macOS Catalina doesn't work, Monterey and BigSur works...

Seems to be not as tested as it should be!

I am having the same problem, my Windows 10 64bits machines are not starting. Windows 11, Windows 7 SP1, and Linux are working fine.

Clarification over my previous post regarding Linux (Ubuntu), the Parallel Tools Installation Agent fails to complete its installation, only reaches 15% of the progress.

Win10 64-bit guest booted, but sharing Mac volumes and custom folders with the Win10 guest isn't working. Re-installed Paralells tools, did not fix. rebooted several times, didn't fix. Rolling back.

My Windows 10 64Bit is also not starting anymore. Does anyone has a hint on this issue? @MauroCL how do you perform a rollback?

    Hello!
There are two ways to fix the issue:
Option 1: if you don't need nested virtualization, shut down Windows, open configuration settings of the virtual machine > Hardware > Cpu & Memory > Advanced > switch the hypervisor to Apple as described at https://kb.parallels.com/125186.
Option 2: if nested virtualization is required, you can add a TPM chip to the virtual machine to tackle it: shut down Windows > open the virtual machine's configuration > Hardware > click + > select TPM chip > click Add. More info is at https://kb.parallels.com/122702.

Parallels Tools won't install, or at least won't install properly, on an old Snow Leopard Server OS X 10.6.8 VM. The tools try to install be themselves. When the VM is rebooted, it doesn't look as if any tools have been installed, and the 19.4.1 ones have been disabled or damaged or something like that. Then, if I try to manually reinstall the 20.0.0 tools, the installer tells me OS X 10.9 is required! So, how should I proceed?
