Hello dear Parallel folks, I am not sure if I should make the effort of replacing the nice-but-a-bit-slow-working 32-bit by a 64-bit system by a complete reinstallation, and running the risk to have re-installation problems. So is the 64-bit performance gain worth the pain and possible risks? What will work faster, what will not? I have a brandnew Macbook, 2,26 GHz (?), 4 GB RAM, 500 hard disk space, OS is Snow Leopard. However, the computer is still relatively empty windows-wise, so now is the best time. 1) How much more are the system requirements? Your website makes no difference in these things 2) Does the system performance of Parallels 32 vs. 64 also effect the current performance of the Mac OS, i.e. Snow Leopard? 3) Is the 64-bit reinstallation worth it, how much more performant will it be? I will use Windows 7 for - websurfing, using the Mac Firefox - word processing / writing - Programming e.g. in C++ and the like. Best regards, Lena PS: well, I tried the chat support about 20 times. I think there was just nobody working and the chat windows just did not do anything, just say "you are next". The worst chat online support site I have ever been to. As opposed to the email support so far...
