    Hi,

I have Parallels Desktop 5 - its been running 1 virtual machine happily on my PowerBook (OSX 10.6.6.) for sometime.

However, today, on start-up of Parallels I get a black screen and the message: 'The virtual machine is not available.'

The virtual machines files have been removed or deleted. I haven an option to: Remove or Locate.

Where do I locate the missing files? There appears to be nothing in the knowledge base with this title? I haven't changed anything on my Mac or deleted or moved any files myself.

This has completely knocked my faith in using Parallels - I have to get it sorted before I'm sacked!

    Hi Graham
I have just encountered the same problem with my imac. I run my Sage accounts & Payroll on Parallels. Did you ever get a reply to this thread?

    Hi All,
If you see a Question mark on virtual machine or if you get the following error when trying to start your virtual machine:
The virtual machine \"%1\" is not available anymore.
The virtual machine \"%1\" is not available (%2).
The virtual machine is not available. The virtual machine's files have been moved or deleted. If the files are on an external device, reconnect the device. You can also remove the virtual machine from the list or manually locate its files.

Please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/10109 to resolve the issue.
