parallels doesn't detect win xp drivers i previously installed with boot camp

    hey all.

i have a huge problem getting parallels working properly.

just got my new mac pro (2,8 ghz 8 core, 2 gb ram, 500 gb hdd) installed boot camp (win xp sp2 and ntfs - not fat32!) and following installed the boot camp drivers on the leopard install cd in windows. from that point of view everything works out fine, my comp in win xp mode detects all hardware components and runs stable.
but if install parallels in mac mode and open that boot camp partition, none of those previously installed drivers are there. the virtual windows seems to be pretty much like without the boot camp drivers. if i intent to install the boot camp drivers via parallels, nothing really changes...

    what should i do?
it should be possible to have the same windows config via parallels as via startup, or am i wrong here?

the second problem i got was to configure the right parallels setup.
it's kind of strange, if i install parallels without having an external hd attached to the computer everything works out well (beside the driver issue), parallels is able to locate the boot camp partition and start up windows. but if i turn on my lacie hd or attach a flash drive, parallels isn't longer able to detect the right drive and i get some error message like:
"more that one windows partitions were found. This is not a standart boot camp configuraiton."
i tried to solve that problem using tim's thread (http://forum.parallels.com/post42129-1.html). seems to work with attached external hd drives now, but maybe the driver problem is caused here. i just changed the line "Disk 0:0 image = disk.hdd" to "Disk 0:0 image = Boot Camp;disk0s3".

i really appreciate every hind to solve that problems. Thanks in advance!!!
