Hello, I have installed Parallels on a clean 10.4.7 installation (15" MacBook Pro) and the Guest Adapter does not show up in the Mac's Networking Preference panel. I first tried it on our corporate image, and then thinking there could be some incompatibility I wiped the machine and installed a clean copy of 10.4.7 with the same results both times. I have another MBP on which this works fine (I had been using various betas and RC's), but on this machine (which of course belongs to my CIO) I can't get this adapter to show up at all. I have tried with both Bridged Ethernet and Host Only networking. Please help! Thanks, Bill
I've noticed the same thing here on a new install. I'd previously used the RCs under 10.4.6 without issue. I think I just figured it out... the adaptor may be there, just not shown in the interface list. Go to the Network Preference Pane... Under "Show" select Network Port Configurations Click "New..." Name: "Parallels Guest Adaptor" Port: Ethernet Adaptor (en2) Click OK.
